Parts of the Story-Freak the Mighty
What do you think was the initial action of the story? Be prepared to defend your answer. Mention at least two scenes of rising action and a major conflict in the story.

I think the initial action was when Max's dad got out of prison, that he would want to kill his grandparents, and then run off with him, because he said he would promise to come back.

1) When blade was throwing rocks at max and kevin
2) When Killer Kane came into Max's room.
And a major conflict was when Killer Kane choked Loretta Lee... DEAD
rise actioning is killer kane took max. another scene was when when they ran into the people in the sewer and they had a little fight. the major conflict is killer kane taking kevin away from gram and grim.

ReplyDeleteTwo rising action scenes: Number1) When Max and Kevin are being pelted with rocks by Blade and his gang.
Number 2) When Max is kidnapped by his dad on Christmas eve.
The Major Conflict: The major conflict was that Max is troubled by the thought that he has seen his father murder his mother. Though he doesn't tell anyone for the whole story almost.
But at the end he lets it all out when his dad is killing Loretta Lee.
I think that the Initial action was when max and Kevin first met in preschool. 1,scene of rising action is when Killer Kane chocked lariat lee. 2 when Kane and max where hiding under the table when the police came to the testaments. A major conflict in the story was when killer Kane came into the down under to pick up/ kid nap max.

I think the rising action was when max and kevin find loretta's purse and go to the new testaments and find loretta and Iggy and then they {loretta and iggy} think that max and kevin stole from loretta's purse.
I think the initial action of the story was when max met freak. Rising action #1 kevin and max get stuck in the muddy swamp. Rising action #2 when max says he saw his dad murder his mom. A major conflict when his dad puts his hand on maxs face.
ReplyDeletethe part that made it all start is when killer Kane kills max's mother, because without that killer Kane go's to jail and then escapes jail then finds max then run's away if that didn't start then nothing in the book would ever went in that direction the dark scary but very good ending, rising action, the part that start's the climax is the part where killer Kane drops his big dark dangerous hand, the major conflict is, killer Kane is taking max away from all and wants to run away with max to ether start a new life (doubt that) or wants to kill his son.
ReplyDeletethe initial action of the story is when max and kevin meet b/c that starts the book and if they had not have met then they would not have gone to the new tenements and the cops would not have gone to the tenements to look for max when his dad kidnaped him and maybe loretta and iggy might not have ratted cane out.1 of the scenes is when killer cane came down to the down under and kidnaped max.2 when loretta tried to un tie max and then killer cane strangles her to death. the major conflict is when killer cane kidnaped max.

The conflict was when killer cain came back from jail B/c killer cain was lying was lying to max he said he did not kill his mom but max said he saw him kill his mom and he also saw killer cain his dad choking lareta b/c lareta pushed his son max that is why killer cain choked lareta so now max no's his dad is a killer.
