The British army



A review of trench warfare is here. After doing the review, examine the materials beneath.




Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Newfoundland, South Africa, various  African colonies and the Indian Army all fought in the British army. Even if both people spoke English, communication could be a problem. Here and here are lists of English words used by the British Army in the First World War. 

No swinging of the lead, before we can muck in, write your own sentence using First World War slang, don't be afraid to jam on it and don't be a dingbat. Post your sentence in the comments below.
